The Following is a reprint of a letter received from the Greenport Public Schools March 5, 2003 Dear Merle, Thank you very much for presenting our fourth grade students with your Power Point presentation on lighthouses of Southold Town. The students and teachers raved about your presentation and walked away with knowledge about our local lighthouses. I know you lead a very busy life and I just want to thank you for giving your time for the children of Greenport. We live in a very beautiful area and we tend to take our area for granted. A presentation like yours motivates and encourages us to learn about and be proud of the beautiful area we live in. Once again, Merle, on behalf of students, teachers and administration, thank you.
